The Tricorder is a 15-page print Star Trek: TOS zine published which was while the show was still on the air.
While the editorial talks about a second issue, and the cover is labeled "1," it is likely this is the only issue.
The Roots of a Later Fan Project
This print zine has roots in what became the project, Galactic Journey, also by Gideon Marcus.

From the editorial:
Welcome to this, the first issue of THE TRICORDER. This is a STAR TREK fanzine published August 1967. We are very excited about the second season, which will be starting in Just one month! In the meantime, we hope you enjoy our modest little creation. We plan to release issues on a completely irregular schedule.
- Welcome to the Enterprise by Gideon Marcus ("If you haven't served on a "Starship" before. It can be a bewildering experience. At any given time, there will be nearly 430 personnel on board. Each of the 13 vessels of this class In the fleet Is a veritable city In space. Adding to the confusion Is that Starfleet (a newly formed all-Federation service that supersedes the United Earth Space Probe Agency) has recently changed Its uniforms, rank Insignia, and department assignments. To help you acclimate, here is a short introduction to the officers you will meet during your time aboard. [...] It goes without saying that there is no discrimination on the basis of species, race, or gender. Mr. Spock may currently be the only alien on board the Enterprise, but there may well be more in the future. Nationality and sex have long since ceased to be elements of consideration when recruiting personnel, and fully a third of the Enterprise's ship's complement are women.") (2)
