The project was announced on Twitter on March 14, 2019. Interest checks opened the next day and closed on March 31, 2019 with a reported total of 130 responses. Applications for mods and contributors opened on March 16, 2019. Mod applications ended early on April 15. Contributors could continue applying up to May 1, 2019.

Preorders opened on October 1, 2019 with the following pricing tiers:

• The Shimmy Bundle ($12 USD) - Digital Zine
• The Tango Bundle ($25 USD) - Digital Zine, Phyiscal Zine, Stretch Goals
• The Foxtrot Bundle ($35 USD) - Digital Zine, Physical Zine, Button, Charms, Sticker Sheets, Random Bookmark
• The Lindy Hop Bundle ($30 USD) - Digital Zine, Button,Charms, Sticker Sheets, Bookmarks, Stretch Goals
• The Charleston Bundle ($50 USD) - Digital Zine, Physical Zine, Button,Charms, Sticker Sheets, Bookmarks, Stretch Goals

For only the first day of preorders, The Charleston Bundle was discounted as an early bird special for $45 USD. Stretch goals included a print at 50 orders, an enamel pin at 100 orders, and a memo pad at 150 orders. Preorders closed on October 25, 2020.

All orders were reported to be shipped on January 16, 2020. Leftover sales began the next month, running from February 1 to February 25, 2020.
