The Return of Robert Makepeace is a gen 114-page novel by Nancy Campbell and Sheryl Rieling.
Summary
[This novel explores] the aftermath of the episode, "Shades of Gray," in which Colonel Robert Makepeace was discovered to be a traitor, working with a shadow organization while with the SGC, to steal technology from planets and peoples who wouldn't give them to Earth voluntarily. Now, Jack has a deal for Makepeace: work with SG-1 to track down the three other teams that were working for the shadow organization and bring them back to Earth to stand trial for their crimes. If he co-operates, he gets a full Presidential pardon. If he refuses, he will spend the rest of his life in jail. But can he stand up to the looks and absolute loathing with which every military member he comes into contact with at the SGC treats him, even the members of SG-1? Will he always be looked upon as a traitor, or can he somehow redeem himself, not only in the SGC's eyes, but in Jack's as well? [1]
