Reactions and Reviews: Issue 1
[from George Perkins ]: "I think for being your first issue: and the fact that you had know [sic] help (contributions) that is pretty good. The cover was OK but I think you should have had the number one (1) on the same line as TNT #—-. You should not waste paper. With the page numbers, they could have been typed. By saving space you could keep the price per issue down. As for the editorial, I like it very much! With the stories (?) you explained them yourself. In my opinion you should use more artwork & less pictures (reproductions).
- Scott Taylor's reply: I have listened to every word that George said because he has done this sort of thing!! The very last line is very important so everybody send me some!! [1]
Issue 2
The National Trekker 2 was published in 1976 ("Jan/Dec") and contains 4 pages. Its content is mainly Space: 1999.
It contains several small illos by George Perkins.
This issue is in case you didn't notice, is saluting the new Englished-produced [sic] SPACE 1999. It is food for us Science Fiction Fans. For those of you who can't or haven't seen it, please do. It's not as good as STAR TREK, but it is Science Fiction.
I would like to thank the people who bought TNT #1, because they made TNT #2 possible. I'm very happy that I had the chance to salute SPACE 1999., Many thanks to the creators of it. The fed us the food we (SF Fans) needed. If anybody else wants me to salute another Sf show, let me know. "Thanks Dad — for letting me use the IBM Copier. I need contributions to continue this Zine! (Not money, art, games, articles, jokes, etc.)

Reactions and Reviews: Issue 3
[from George Perkins]: The first thing I noticed was the lack of an Editorial. In past issues I liked the Editorial very much. In this issue, the Editorial was very short; all most non-existant [sic].
You need some type of fiction, or at least an article of of some type, written by a fan, not out of a magazine. TNT is lacking a STAR TREK or SCIENCE FICTION story.
KIRK'S CORNY CREW is a fairly decent cartoon section; however the humor is not exactly original on page 6. Possibly with some contibutions [sic] of art or ideas for your KIRKS' CORNY CREW, it will become a good section of TNT.
What you really need to work on is the layout of your pages. Many things are not centered, and sometimes a large amount of blank page is left without a drawing or art. You could get 10 pages on 7 if placed everything closer together.
The above is not not to be ego-wrecking, only constructive critism [sic]. #3 seems to be one of the best issues of TNT. Keep ' em comin'.
- [from Scott Taylor]: Listen to what this guy says! He puts out a zine called, "STAR TREK NUTS & BOLTS" And he does it very well! [2]
Issue 4
The National Trekker 4 was published March 1976 and contains 10 pages.
"Thanx to George Perkins, Fritz Ochs, & everybody else who is helping me with "crazy-zine"."
"I got a response to whether or not STAR TREK 12 would come out since JAMES BLISH died. Yes, it will. But were [sic] sure who wrote it."
"Good for George. He's the only person who will write a letter of comment long enough to print. I Yes, I do get LoCs from other people. But they sound something like this, "I liked TNT #2 very much, good job."

Reactions and Reviews: Issue 4
I liked the layout of TNT. It was different. I guess that is why I liked it, well it was neat anyway.
KIRKS' CORNY CREW (KCC) is a neat Star Trek cartoon. They are all neat ideas.
One of the things TNT needs is a short story of some kind, or else [turn] your zine into a "newszine." You don't have to listen to me, just do what you think is best.
I liked your zine very, very, very much!! BRAVO FOR TNT!!!!
Keep 'em Commin'!!! [3]
Issue 5
The National Trekker 5 was published in April 1976 and contains 9 pages. The front cover is by Dave Trach.
"Sorry for tying errors in the last issue; there were some! Anyone wishing to contribute please do so!"
From the editorial:
Last issue there was no editorial because I wanted to keep the price down. In this issue (#5) it looks like I will be able to fit one in. The first thing I'd like to talk about is this zine. I'm glad to have the few contributors I have but I need more! The ones that have contributed — do it again. The ones that don't — get on the stick & try a little. I'm sure that most of you can do a piece of artwork or write a little story or article. Those of you who can't, send me an idea & I'll pass it to someone who can put it into good form.
