The Mischief Productions is a Marauders fan film group which faced many controversies in the 2020s and especially 2024. The director, Star F./ZionSirius, has been active in the fandom for a few years and developed a reputation as a grifter/scammer,[1] including claiming to be the author of Crimson Rivers and misuse of funds raised through fandom (including crowdsourcing for a film adaptation of All the Young Dudes for two years without ever following through[2]). A recent script for the new film "The Prank" was confirmed to have been written using Generative AI.[3] Members of the Mischief Productions team learned about the use of AI and shared it with fans.[4] Previous films had been written by Dorian. Ethan (p4perback) left the crew when the news came out.[5]
All official accounts for Mischief Productions were taken down in late 2024.
