The Middleman is an action/comedy comic book series written and adapted for tv by Javier Grillo-Marxuach.

The Middleman was initially a comic book series written by Grillo-Marxuach with art by Les McClaine released in 2005. In 2008, the series was adapted for tv but unfortunately, was cancelled after only 12 episodes. However, the unaired 13th episode script was preformed at a live reading at SDCC and subsequently released as a graphic novel, illustrated by McClaine. Following that, the two produced another story which they released as graphic novel and preformed at a table reading. This story was a crossover between the original comic book universe and the tv universe.
