The Lion King WWW Archive is a fansite dedicated to The Lion King since 1995- probably the oldest in the Lion King Fandom. The Archivist and Founder, Brian Tiemann, was inspired to create the Archive during a Caltech Math 1b lecture, and consisted of a few hand-coded HTML 2.0 pages, some scripts, and 'about ten images'. As of 2022, the site has welcomed over 6 million visitors.
The Lion King Mailing List and alt.fan.lion-king were its mailing list and newsgroup.
