Land of Nye is a Sentinel story by Suisan R. Notably, it is one of the few fanfics in which it uses wholly original characters in lieu of the canon cast, and most importantly, one of the few which did succeed despite the fandom's noted usual disposition towards such types of written fan fiction.

Reactions and Reviews

Stories that feature original characters are not usually well-recieved in The Sentinel fandom (or any fandom for that matter) and it's always a risk to write them so few of the really good and really talented authors do. Suisan, lucky for us, took the risk. She wrote this story for a challenge - the It Was A Dark And Stormy Night Challenge - which features a requirement that one character be a beautiful, mysterious woman. Suisan took the challenge and ran with it in this fic. It is a well written case story with a fascinating b-plot featuring the original character. Suisan creates a fantastic story here and launches a fantastic series. It's well worth the read.
