The Kids in the Hall are a five-man Canadian comedy team that formed in Toronto in the mid-1980s: David Foley, Bruce McCulloch, Kevin McDonald, Mark McKinney, and Scott Thompson. They are most famous for their TV show also called The Kids In The Hall, which ran on the CBC in their native country and on HBO and later CBS in the United States from 1989 to 1995. The show was produced by Lorne Michaels, the creator of Saturday Night Live. The series was reran on Comedy Central into the early 2000s, gaining a cult following. In 2022, a new series starring the group appeared on Amazon Prime. The style of humor featured on the shows has been compared to Monty Python and SNL.
