Introduction

The story which follows is a sequel based on one of the best known of all S&H stories 'Decorated for Death' by Jill Ripley, with its memorable illustrations by Chris Ripley.

It’s hard to realize that abound ten years have gone by since we first read it - hence this foreword for those who may not yet have done so.

In 'Decorated for Death', we are presented with Los Angeles as an utterly devastated, post-Holocaust city, taken over by a government devoid of any qualities which belong with humanity. The story traces the ways in which The Champion and The Other resisted and overcame those evils. The ending left them about to turn to the tasks of rebuilding a society based on human values.
