The House with a Clock in Its Walls is a YA dark fantasy novel written by John Bellairs and illustrated by Edward Gorey. [1] It was published in 1973. The book is the first in a series of twelve novels about the orphaned teenage boy Lewis Barnavelt.
Canon
Adaptions
In 1979, the novel was used as the basis for one of the three tales of terror in the TV anthology Once Upon a Midnight Scary, hosted by Vincent Price.[2] A live-action film of the same name was released in 2018.
