The History of the Northern Kingdom is a gen Tolkien anthology with the subtitle: "As Chronicled by the scribes of Annúminas", Annúminas was a local group or Smial of the Tolkien Society. Angela Surtees, Lyn Ritchie and artist Ruth Lacon collaborated on the "History" after speculating on the descent of Aragorn from Arvedui, and where and how the Rangers had lived in the centuries since the fall of Fornost in 1974 T.A. Detailing the fauna and flora of the north of Middle-earth as well as proposing a possible history this work is illustrated throughout and includes an epic poem and speculative original documents.
