Plot Summary
The story takes place after the fourth season. Starsky has fully recovered from being shot.
Hutch is feeling very tired, loses weight, has no appetite, bruises easily, and keeps getting nosebleeds.
It turns out Hutch has a rare form of acute leukemia.
Starsky takes care of him through chemotherapy, and Hutch goes into remission.
But then, Hutch is shot in the abdomen while on duty. He spends a month in the hospital.
His leukemia comes back, and it doesn't respond to treatment.
Starsky quits his job and moves into Hutch's place to take care of him.
Starsky has a party to find a bone marrow transplant, and many people from their past cases attend and donate money. Starsky and Hutch realize how blessed they are, and how many people they've helped. Sue Ann Granger sings them a song.
Hutch gets a bone marrow transplant from Larry Horvath. There is still more suffering, but Hutch finally gets better.
