Reactions and Reviews
Through magic, Vincent is transformed into a normal-looking man for a brief time, allowing him to go to Catherine's place in CT. The story reintroduces Alain Taggert (the arms dealer, and Lisa's keeper, from "Arabesque"). [1]
In this novella, a magical mirror gifts Vincent with what he believes is his heart's desire - to look 'normal' - and he is able to be with Catherine in her world. They spend two tovely days together in Connecticut until Alain Tagged ("Arabesque") appears to seek revenge. Vincent is unable to help Catherine until he magically returns to his true form which makes him realize the gift he already had. [2]
"Catherine, do you remember when you told me of your childhood place in Connecticut and wanted me to go there ... share it together? One day we'll see that lake, Catherine, I promise you." Is it possible? By Barbi Chism. Don't miss 'The Gift". [3]
