Excerpts

ChaosBlue: I've decided to produce this podcast for two basic reasons. One, I think fanfiction is amazing for a number of various reasons I will be sharing here with you in a minute. And I wanted a platform where we could have thoughtful, positive and respectful conversations about fanfiction. Two, I really just wanted an excuse to talk to amazing fanfiction authors. I think the work you guys do is incredible, and I can't wait to talk to you about it.

ChaosBlue: As humans we have this natural curiosity that makes us want to understand the world around us. I believe that fanfiction is an integral part of the greatest exploration of all. What we're really doing when we write or read a work of fanfiction is exploring the deepest parts of ourselves and what it means to be human.

ChaosBlue: Fanfiction is able to make solid leaps into the deeply moving experiences that define our lives and make us who we are. I'm talking about experiences like falling in love, growing old, triumphant, defeat, insecurity, loneliness, loss, and grief. The most transformational reading experiences of my life have been with beautifully crafted fanworks that have covered the gambit with these topics.
