The Electronic Tolkien Encyclopedia Project was a Tolkien fansite with 100 articles serving as a proto-Wiki.
Welcome to The Tolkien Encyclopedia. This collection of written work explores the rich teasure of Tolkien's creation, Middle-earth, and provides inquiry into and analysis of Tolkein's literary thought and philosophy. This system of documents is under construction. A semi-stable version, i.e. the first edition of this Encyclopedia, will be available in January 1996. This WWW server will not always be on so if later you don't get through, don't get discouraged--it just means I'm taking data or something important like that.
