The club was based in Western Australia.

It was approved by David Marciano himself.

Membership was free, but there were costs, mainly to send "David our support with various packages and activities for himself and his family." See the flyer, which also includes fairly nosy demographic questions.

Description from a Flyer

This fan club is dedicated to David Marciano (Detective Ray Vecchio on Due South). The legalities of making us the official club will take quite some time, but we are the one approved by David. Our aim is to let The Powers That Be and the media know both David and Ray are a whole lot more popular than is commonly supposed, and to show David our support with various packages and activities for himself and his family.

Membership in the Society is free, and becomes official when the questionnaire below is filled out and returned. Once this is done, you will be added to the Society's e-mail list, and the discussion list (once it’s set up) which will keep you up-to-date on activities and various information as it comes to our attention. It also allows you to participate in any non-cost activities such as letter-writing campaigns. Those without internet access will be kept up-to-date with a monthly newsletter.

There is a cost activity fee of $20 Australian. This is to cover the price of making up packages/buying presents etc. The activity fee gets your name and, where appropriate, your personal message included on any package/present which is sent to David or his family for a year. Contributions to the Activity Fund are entirely voluntary and NOT a condition of membership.

Because of the high service charge for bank cheques/money orders in some countries, personal cheques written on non-Australian accounts will be accepted. Please note there is a30 day clearance period and a service fee of A$5 is required. If you choose to send a bank cheque or money order, the service fee is still required but the funds are available immediately.
