The Darkfire Saga is a gen Star Wars: The Phantom Menace 160-page novel published in 2001 and written by Padawan Daroa. The story includes many original characters.
It won the the 2002 FanQ award for 'Best Stand-Alone Star Wars zine'.
The cover is by Yum, the inside art by C. Lerch.

Qui-Gon Jinn and his young apprentice, Obi-Wan Kenobi, face their greatest challenge in the form of a dark Jedi assassin known to the underworld as, Darkfire. When Darkfire joins forces with Qui-Gon's fallen former apprentice, Xanatos, it will be all they can do to survive.
