The basic story here is a familiar one in this fandom: one character pushes; the other pushes back and ups the stakes; the first character calls him on it. Problems follow.The storytelling, however, is exceptional: Alexis Gunn’s writing always makes you want to keep reading forever and her funny stories (of which this is one) will have tears rolling down your face.
The Cursing Jar looks at how far you can take physical intimacy and still call it ‘friendship’. As we find out we get to see, among many other good things, a blow job under a desk in a not-empty bullpen and a scorchingly hot naked hose-down in William Ellison’s back yard.
Very funny and very hot, with a little angst thrown into the mix for leavening.[1]
