The Alphabet is an abecedary by queen_ypolita based on Mary Renault's 1953 novel The Charioteer. It is set some time after the end of the novel, when Laurie is back at Oxford. Bored with the essay he is supposed to be writing, he compiles an alphabetic list.
The abecedary was written as a Treat for lanyon in Yuletide 2010. Comments included the following:
