Terra x Aqua or Terraqua, is the het pairing of Terra and Aqua from the Disney/Square Enix video game franchise Kingdom Hearts and its related media.
Background
Terra and Aqua are introduced in the prequel title Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep (2010). At the opening of the game, they have spent many years training alongside each other to become Keyblade Masters. Over the course of the game, their relationship becomes strained due to their own flaws and the machinations of Xehanort. However after Terra becomes possessed by Xehanort, Aqua attempts to help Terra break free of Xehanort's control. Following that battle, Aqua performs a non-fatal sacrifice to send Terra back to the realm of light while she remains trapped in the Realm of Darkness.
A little over 11 in-universe years later, in Kingdom Hearts III (2019), Aqua is finally rescued from the Realm of Darkness, and Terra is finally freed from Xehanort's control. Upon being reunited, Terra credits Aqua with helping him break free.
