Purpose

The purpose of this template is to provide links to archived versions of websites when including external links in an article, in order to prevent link rot.

Usage

To use this template on a page, copy & paste the code below:

Key

  • URL: The original URL of the page you are linking to.
  • Title: The title of the original page.
  • Archive URL: The archived URL of the page you are linking to.
  • Date: The date when the original URL was archived by the archive host you are using. Optional.
