Key

  • Name - Official name of the game
  • Fandom - The fandom(s) that the game relates to
  • Developer - The person or team that developed/created the game
  • Release date - Date of the first public release, which might be an early-access game or an open beta release.
  • Engine - The game engine the game is made in
  • Genre - Type of gameplay, e.g. action platformer, visual novel, space shooter, metroidvania, real-time strategy, walking sim, racing game, etc. More than one is possible.
  • External links - Usually, the game's official website or download page. Common examples are GameBanana, GameJolt, Itch.io and Steam pages.
  • See also: Internal links to related pages.
  • Image: An official cover, promotional art, fanart piece, or another image that showcases the game. Only the file name is needed and should be used. The template will truncate [[File:]] and similar markup, and arguments in [[File:]] markup passed to image may result in unexpected behavior.
  • Image caption: A caption for the image. Good information to put here is a short description of the image, title, and author information, and so on.
  • Image alt text: Alt text for the image; this should be a description of the image and its contents.
  • Fandom category: This will default to Category:Fangames and should be left blank unless the fangame belongs in a fandom-specific subcategory, for example Category:Friends at the Table Fangames. Only fandom-specific subcategories should be listed in this field. Subcategories that aren't fandom-specific belong at the bottom of the page.
