Template:Archived link/doc

Purpose

This template's purpose is to easily link to Web Archive captures of an external site in a standard format in the main section of an article. It should not be used for web citations, as Template:Cite web has options included for archived URLs.

Key

This template takes three required parameters and an optional fourth:

{{Archived link|Link URL|Link text|Archive URL}}

• Link URL: The original URL of the site you want to link to.
• Link text: The display text of the external link.
• Archive URL: The archived URL of the site you want to link to.

Examples

will produce:
