Well, the way I interpret the supplements are titled supplements because they update the initial index which came out in 1977, like encyclopedias used to do in the past, and consists of five volumes, each with a different indexing method. That initial TrexIndex catalogs fanzines that came out from 1966-1976. Then every two year they published a supplement, updating the listing with the zines that came out in that time period, i.e. the first supplement covers zines from the years 1977-1979, and comes in two volumes, again due to the different indexing, one for author/title/subject, one for poetry and art, less volumes because it's only two years not ten. This continues the next couple of years until supplement 7 at which point the output had become massive, so it has 500 pages in tiny print. Does this help?--RatCreature 16:25, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
