Revisiting this - the Avengers (2012) already had several hundred stories on AO3, and it's not even out yet. I have no idea how to organise this, what with the comics fandom and the movie fandom and Tony Stark being the Marvel bicycle, the fandom is kind of spread all over the place. So The Avengers (Marvel) (including both movie(s) & comics and probably there's a cartoon, I don't know, but anyway there's a lot of crossover) or The Avengers (2012) (or (film)) and The Avengers (comics)? I favour Avengers (Marvel) for now, but I suspect the film might eat fandom in which case it might want its own page. And The Avengers (TV) or something else? --MegR 10:58, 2 December 2011 (UTC)
- I don't know much about comics fandom, but I think that The Avengers (Marvel) is probably best for now, since there seems to be a lot of crossover between comics and movie etc. We can make a separate page for the movie later if necessary. --Tiyire 18:30, 2 December 2011 (UTC)
- For comparison: the current fandom names on AO3 are The Avengers (2012), with meta tags for Marvel Avengers Movies Universe and Avengers (Marvel) - All Media Types. The Avengers (Marvel) sounds like a good starting point. AO3 also uses The Avengers (TV) for the British show with Emma Peel et al.--æþel 04:52, 3 December 2011 (UTC)
