Is "Lucy G., a Beauty & the Beast writer" different from "Lucy Green, a Beauty & the Beast writer"?--RatCreature 06:14, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
- FYI, I sent a message up to Meri about the data and wikilinks we're losing as we move into more pre-1995 name compliance. My kludgy suggestion was, that until they implement an automated way of linking the Lisas S, Lucys P, Sues R, Marys L, Nancy ` S (common names with the same abbreviated last names) to the correct fanworks, we should be keeping track of what the full names were before we abbreviate (possibly something as low tech as sending an e-mail to a central inbox with the subject: Lucy Green/Lucy G, the Beauty Beast fan. Lucy Gardner/Lucy Star Wars. The issue has to go through a committee, so it may be a while before anything is done. I gather Wikis are not set up to handle of mass data scrubbing that creates multiple overlapping entries. I don;t think we'll be able to go back and recreate and re-link what has already been lost. --Morgandawn 06:29, 30 April 2010 (UTC)
