Page admin stuff

Dear lovely gardeners/admins, for some reason - aside from the Challenge category added by the infobox template - my categories aren't showing on the page itself, only in edit mode. I added Category:Inception, Category:Fiction Writing, Category:Visual Art, and Category:2010s (with brackets obviously). Have I done something wrong, or is the challenge template interfering in some way or the length of the page stopping them from being shown? I think Stub from the template was showing before I took it off the page...

More generally, opinions wanted - I'll probably break this page up (and add some images!) since I'm getting the length warning - does the subpage title "Inception Big Bang/Round 1" make the most sense considering the challenge started in 2010 but fics weren't posted in 2011? Thank you! - Tai 14:26, 7 November 2011 (UTC)

When my cats don't show up, I check to make sure all my references are closed off. I'll look through and see if I can see any stragglers. Otherwise, I don't know. It's not a length problem, though. --Mrs. Potato Head 14:45, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
I'm thinking it's something to do with your references as they don't show up on the bottom, but my amateur experiment on them didn't work. :-( --Mrs. Potato Head 14:53, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
Oh! I hadn't noticed my references had disappeared. I did move some stuff around so I think I may have been too clever with reusing ref names. Thank you so much! I will try some stuff. Tai 15:09, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
Got it - I forgot to use a trailing / when reusing a ref name and it totally didn't occur to me that borked refs would bork the cats too, doh. Thank for your help! <3 - Tai 15:19, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
Yay! Unclosed refs also make things like galleries disappear, too, which is usually my problem. And it's almost always a missing / or <. Details, details... Nice, page, btw. --Mrs. Potato Head 15:23, 7 November 2011 (UTC)

Forgot to add: perhaps this Supernatural page could provide some models for this one? --Mrs. Potato Head 15:26, 7 November 2011 (UTC)
