Date: 05/20/2009 You've put in a lot of effort over the course of your writing, and it shows--the story now feels streamlined, and parts hit me that I don't remember from before--the fact that Tom addresses the fear (relishing violence) that Andrew worries most about in himself. The part about Laurie's letter feels stronger too; I don't know if that's because you worked more on it or simply because it shines forth in the finished piece.
Reading your story is nudging me to pick up The Charioteer again for real--been so long since I read it cover to cover. :-)
In sum, hooray! Well done, and thanks for inviting me to beta.
