Hey, y'all -- when you use the term second person, that actually refers to a narrative voice that's really rare: when a person refers to themselves in second-person pronouns, or other forms, typified by "you". Bright Lights, Big City is the most common reference -- instead of a first person, he does the book in that "you wake up and get your coffee" thing. So do you think maybe that should be an outside viewpoint, or an unseen voice, for the vid? Otherwise I think I must not be understanding what you mean... gwyn 00:32, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- However you want to descibe it, I've just been using 'second person POV' for years to describe So Pure and other vids that are narrated by a character that the vid is not about; a visual 'you' as it were, rather than a narrative form. So in Hippie Boy, Jim is narrating, he is the 'I' of the story, but the vid is about Blair, the 'you' of the story; In So Pure, the narrator is Tim, but the vid is about Frank. --rache 00:45, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
