I'm not sure what template to use with this page. --Mrs. Potato Head 15:08, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
- It seems it's like a big shared universe yes? So maybe "fanwork" template with an added collaboration category? I think other shared universes mostly have that template, even if they are large and multi-author, like Pegasus B--RatCreature 15:20, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks. I added that template. I like the MZB quote. I wonder where it's officially from, and if it can be used on another page? --Mrs. Potato Head 15:29, 8 August 2010 (UTC)
- If you're still interested, it's from the introduction of her first Darkover anthology, THE KEEPER'S PRICE. The introduction is largely taken up with defending fanfic and theorizing about why women write it. --Greenygal 14:19, 10 January 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks! I'll make a note of the quote's origin. Is there any other article this lovely quote can be used? --Mrs. Potato Head 14:52, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

- About that quote...I think we've condensed a little too much there; you shouldn't have to go down to the footnotes to find out that the quote is not originally from H&J fandom. Could we include the part of the quote where Ruth mentions MZB? --Greenygal 20:01, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
- Better? --Mrs. Potato Head 20:51, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
- Much. --Greenygal 21:06, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
From a chat transcript (1.9.2012) that I promised to pass along to editors: "After Eastwood's dotty appearence at the Republican convention, I started wondering about Ruth Kurz's old Harry/Johnny fandom. Was given a reference to this site...and was absolutely stunned to see all the references to the old "/" zines! Wow! I guess old fandoms never die... I thought the old H/Js were too obscure even for the tracking power of the internet. Impressive...and a little scary. But thanks for the brief sidetrip into nostalgia." /Lyon --Tiyire 21:38, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
- Obscurity can simply make things more of a challenge! Actually, I'm pretty proud of how this page is turning out. I hope fans find it accurate, interesting, and respectful -- all things I aim for at Fanlore. --Mrs. Potato Head 22:21, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
