What exactly does "chapbook" mean here? I know the what wikipedia says but from that I could pretty much call any zine chapbook?--RatCreature 00:35, 29 March 2010 (UTC)

I don't know how to deal with this term. I've seen it pop up at times, but never with the consistency of in Tolkien. Mrs. Potato Head 01:05, 29 March 2010 (UTC)

Some other thoughts: I think the "chapbook" element may relate to the size (more than the page count) and is an arty presentation. My kids make them in high school writing classes and sometimes the creation of the "book" is as important as the "words." Chapbooks and Tolkien fandom may also be a nod to the "Old World" flavor of both. Mrs. Potato Head 12:17, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
