• Financial mismanagement (inconsistent financial updates even when a backer demanded them, multiple financial emergencies prior to closing, allegations about most of the money going to staff salaries, a staff member admitting they were functionally scamming Cloudflare, whatever else)

I've also seen hints/allegations of the staff handling abuse reports unprofessionally, as well as of the site culture being virulently opposed to criticism of site and staff, but I don't know 1) whether these were significant enough to warrant preservation or 2) where to start finding sources if so. Also, please make sure you're archiving sources! The link rot is already atrocious and will only get worse when Cohost goes offline. --Effingunicorns (talk) 02:44, 24 November 2024 (UTC)
