Ares is the fandom, but it Xena and Hercules that is the conduit. How do you think this should be noted? Mrs. Potato Head 19:10, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Isn't Ares just a character from these two series? Admittedly I never watched more than a handful of episodes, but I wouldn't think this constituted a separate fandom anymore than character-centric stuff from other fandoms.--Ratcreature 19:45, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, the more I did of these, the more I realized what was going on, that these were zines not just about Ares, but the Ares of those two shows. Complicating factor: the publisher put "Ares" under its own fandom, along with the recognized ones. I'll switch them all out. 20:14, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

I guess it might be labelled in such way because the character is like some kind of subfandom, where fans of him might not be interested in the other major characters, so it may make sense marketing-wise, but for labelling here it's probably better to stick just with the shows. I mean, that's more comprehensible for people unfamiliar with the fandoms too.--Ratcreature 20:23, 29 October 2009 (UTC)
