Take That! is a digital charity zine made by LGBT fans to celebrate LGBT themes and characters from the Ace Attorney games.

About

The zine was announced early May 2017 along with its theme[1]. The project expected to accept 20 artists but were willing to add more depending on the volume of submissions[2]. While the zine did not disallow ships, the project encouraged contributors portray less popular pairings and warned that some submissions could be cut if there was an oversaturation of a particular ship to avoid favoring any ship[3].

Contributors could begin submitting applications from May 12 to June 2, 2017[4]. The mod team reported a total of 92 submissions to the zine[5].

On August 31, 2017, the zine was released on Gumroad at a pay-what-you-want rate, and all proceeds would be donated to the Los Angeles LGBT Center[6]. Donations were submitted in stages, totaling to approximately $590 USD at November 21, 2017 when the project announced they would no longer be taking contributions or donations, leaving the zine up on Gumroad for free download[7].

We know some ships have loads of fans & we encourage you all to submit, but we dont want the zine to become too biased in favour of any ship. Of course we want to see as many ships that fit our guidelines as possible, but if we get too many submissions for a single ship we may have to begin cutting off artists pitching that ship in order to prevent overload. And naturally we don't want to turn away any artist that fits the bill otherwise! So please take the time to consider a unique pitch.
