Synergy Factor is a 226-page gen Star Trek: TOS novel by Robin Hill. It contains no publication date, but the cover (by the author) is dated 1979. There are six interior art drawings, all by the author, and all dated 1976. Thus it seems likely that the story was under development from at least 1976, the cover was added near the end of the process, and the publication was probably in 1979, or slightly after that.
