Reactions and Reviews
This is almost the first thing I read in the MFU fandom, causing me to fall in love instantly. It's a 'how they met' and a striking one, treating us to a rare glimpse of our boys in their extreme youth and how their relationship was forged through the worst of all possible meetings. Napoleon here is so young, raw and uncertain, yet toughened by circumstance and every inch the inspiring commander in embryo, already displaying the humanity and resourcefulness that will define his later career.
The early part crackles with the caustic humour and casual heroism of men in a male world. It is also a crossover (I won't say which) and the spot-on character voices all add to the fun. The second half of the story charts Napoleon and Illya's blossoming passion with charged erotic encounters which will leave you breathless and dreaming.
Read and enjoy.[1]
I love the crossover show, it's perfect! The story is great, but the crossover choice in inspired and reallyt adds to the premise.[2]
I read it in the zine awhile back but it was great returning to it once again.[3]
I think the first half was original, touching, and really wonderful. The second half was disappointing. The relationship seemed rushed and undeveloped. The sex was unoriginal and, frankly, boring.PS. The cross-over part was great too :-) [4]
