Francesca, married to Vulcan Sutarn and with marital issues to resolve, is the lone human working on an archaeological team excavating a Vulcanoid dig. She is mysteriously drawn to an ancient bracelet, puts it on, and can't get it off. It functions as an emotional transmitter, making her colleagues irritable. It finally releases her only after a passionate reconciliation with her husband, somehow fulfilling the ritual need of the ghost who had it before. [1]
