This story perfectly encapsulates the evolution from friends to lovers. I have always seen Fraser and Ray as friends, first and foremost, and this really builds on this concept, highlighting key moments in their friendship that can later be built upon in a slash sense. It's gentle and nicely uses parts of canon and even thought the ending is out of canon it's good none the less. [1]
