Reactions and Reviews
A slimmer volume than the Officer's Manual, and NOT by Geoff Mandel, it fills in yet more of the gaps of Starfleet and Enterprise history up to STI, valid and real reasons for the conversion and near-rebuilding of the Enterprise are provided. Overall, the feeling of an official manual or file collection is given with - as with the Officer's Manual - an occasional lack of detail on plan sets. Again, for the collector fan, price is very much a factor at just less than £6.00
(It's a great pity that both the above couldn't have been published in one volume for only a few dollars more - it would have been equal to the original Technical Journal. THAT publication is now out of print but supplies can still be obtained from the States, at a price(!!), together with the Medical Manual and all the blueprints. [1]
