Held at the Royal Bath Hotel in Bournemouth, Feb 9th to 11th and organised by USS Excalibur. Guest of Honour was Richard Biggs (Dr. Franklin of Babylon 5, George Marshall, model maker, Chris Boyd and astronomer Ian Parker.
1997
The third one was held February 14-18, 1997 at The Moat House Hotel in Bournemouth, Dorset.

The Third Annual Starfleel Ball is a three day Star Trek and Sci-fi convention, which is dedicated to providing the very best in fan-run conventions. The event itself will be taking place at the Moat House Hotel in Bournemouth, Dorset. Over the three days, there will be video screenings of Ihe latest episodes of Trek and other popular Sf shows, guest talks, auctions, competitions, parties and karaoke. The highlight of the weekend will of course be the Fancy dress ball on the Saturday evening. II will be preceded by a sumptuous three-course meal, the Starfleet awards and a celebrity cabaret. (Don't forget to let us know if you require a vegetarian meal!). Feel free to wear either Starfleet uniform or your favourite sci-fi fancy dress for spot prizes . (Even if it's only an 'H' on your forehead!). The Ball itself is naturally an epic disco with all the convention favourites.
