Star Wars Rebels is a 3D CGI animated television series produced by Lucasfilm Animation, set before and during the events of the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy.
Fandom
Within the wider Star Wars fandom, the subfandom for Star Wars Resistance is relatively small, with the show never achieving the popularity of other Star Wars animated series such as Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, and Star Wars The Bad Batch. Prior to the show's release, its early video teasers were the subject of significant negative attention on YouTube and other platforms.[1] Nonetheless, Resistance would go on to gain a small but passionate fandom.
Although the show features many characters from the films in guest roles, with some even voiced by their original actors, the Star Wars Resistance fandom is largely focused on the characters original to the show. On August 29th of every year, the fandom celebrates Remembering Resistance Day by sharing fanworks and recollections of the show on Twitter under the hashtag #RememberingResistance. The annual event was first organized in 2020 by the Friends of the Force podcast.[2]

Much of the fandom is focused on the series' ensemble cast, but there are several prominent ships in the fandom as well:
- Pyreny/Pyerny: A non-canon het pairing between Stormtrooper Officer Pyre and First Order Agent Tierny.
- Neekaz: A non-canon slash pairing between Neeku Vozo and Kazuda Xiono.
- Tamnara: A non-canon femslash pairing between Tam Ryvora and Synara San.
- Dozas: The canon het pairing between Imanuel and Venisa Doza, often also shipped as part of a non-canon polyamorous relationship with Jarek Yeager.
- Florka: The canon pairing of Flix and Orka, significant as an early canon gay couple in the Disney Star Wars era and as a relationship between characters belonging to two different alien species.
