Stallion's Gate was a slash Quantum Leap mailing list. It was unmoderated and restricted. It may be associated with the 1995 Stallion's Gate (convention), which had been held the year before the list was created. In turn, "Stallion's Gate" was the name of the town where the project facility was located in New Mexico.
This list was preceded by Quantum Leap Ladies Club, first all-female fannish mailing list, founded in 1991.
It was founded in 1996, and moved to Yahoo groups (then OneGroups) August 20, 1998. Membership has hovered at or below 100. A complimentary Livejournal community Stallion's Gate (Livejournal) (link) was set up in 2004.
