Spock's Hut (SHUT) started out as a student club in the Helsinki University of Technology, but grew into a what was at one point the largest sci-fi association in Scandinavia. Though originally a Star Trek fanclub, it later branched out to other televised scifi as well.
The main form of activity throughout its existence was video nights where the members watched not only the various incarnations of Star Trek, but also other scifi shows (which usually weren't shown on Finnish television), such as Doctor Who, Babylon 5, and Stargate.
SHUT also published a zine called Outpost and a newsletter Shut Happens.
