Spiderweb is a Napoleon Solo & OFC, Napoleon Solo/Satine, Napoleon Solo/Illya Kuryakin story by Cord Smithee.
Reactions and Reviews
How Napoleon lives with his attraction to Illya from December 1959 to December 1965. Review: Cord Smithee, in all her stories, is very good at realistically depicting the evolving relationship between Solo and Kuryakin. "Spiderweb" is written from Napoleon's POV and allows the readers a look into his mind and at the half-buried memories of an old trauma that is more hinted at than ever actually described. In the six years spanned by this story, Napoleon has to learn to let go of his masks and acknowledge his past; thankfully, Illya is there to lend an ear, strength, and an old German Christmas folktale. Napoleon is convincingly vulnerable, and both men are wonderfully in character. Understated and lovely.[1]
