A slender figure, a headful of exuberant reddish-brown curls that almost hid his tonsure, and a face that wouldn't have looked out of place in the murals on the church walls.... Heavens, he could be the Angel of the Annunciation himself… By the end of the week he'd discovered that the new brother was called Raymond, that he was an artist, and that he was here specially to paint the illuminated initials in the Abbot's great work, the Garendon Bible.
