Are you an amateur TREK writer or artist looking for a place to find some serious critique of your work?

The U.S.S. SKYLARK is an amateur artist and writers' club set up to involve members from all over North America. Most of our "crew" belong to a "regular" STAR TREK club in their area and use the U.S.S. SKYLARK as a secondary membership.

We put out a bi-monthly newsletter made up of letters of comment from our members, as well as submitted articles on topics such as: agents, writing tips, STAR TREK book reviews, fandom, and what's happening in the Science Fiction and STAR TREK world. We also have a section for reviews and LoC's on our own publications.

STAR TREK fandom — as with other media fandoms — has a reputation for inconsistant [sic] publications. Since all of us, as readers, would like to see better quality writing, we have tried to offer whatever help we can to new writers, as well as offering "proofing" services to more advanced writers. Please contact us, if you are interested in this. For most stories or articles, there is no charge. Longer stories, or novels, will have a minimal readers' fee.

Besides the U.S.S. SKYLARK newsletter, SKYLARKING DIGEST PRESS also publishes a variety of other zines, including: SIDE-TREKKED [STAR TREK crossover stories], GENERATION D [a ST:TNG zine], and TREK CLASSIC. A Klingon and DS9 zine are also currently in the works.

As a special bonus, U.S.S. SKYLARK members also receive 10% off all SDP publications.

If you have any letters or zine reviews that you wish to submit to the U.S.S. SKYLARK newsletter, as well as any submissions [we ask that you request a copy of our guidelines first] or would like further information regarding our publications, please send a S.A.S.E. to:...
