welcome back to the rape prison! this time blake and vila are thrown into delta jail and blake is like '... i don't understand what is going on. why are those men looking at me? i don't like it', and vila has to take him in hand and protect him from the rapists... by kissing him. anyway - i actually quite like this one. in part. vila gets to be competent and it's nice to turn the tables on the blake/vila relationship. that said - i don't think blake is that naive. this man has been accused of child molesting: he knows what rape is.and - then it gets a bit weird because they go back to teh ship and blake is like 'omg i enjoyed it when vila was touching me, am i GAY?' and vila gets him drunk, shags him even though he doesn't fancy him (it is intimated that he fancies a man, which i assume is avon) and is like... 'well, now you won't remember it but you will have had sex and that will be nice'. and i was like... why did this happen? why not just get him really pissed if the object is to stop him remembering it and worrying about being gay? there's no need to fuck him.
but anyway, apart from the specific actions undertaken by our heroes not actually making sense, i approve of this choice of character dynamic shake up.[1]
