Reactions and Reviews
A gentle AU that takes part of mermaid folklore and gives it a twist that makes perfect sense for an AU based on DS canon, even down to the setting and Eeek. It has a good sequel (Siren's Second Verse) too but stands well on it's own. [1]
This is an AU fic but it really does work within the concept of the show. It still has the slightly real edge to it even though it involves mermaids and talking seals. The characterisations also are true to the original canon which is nice to see ven in an AU. The concept is also really cute and whilst it is slash, it's nicely understated. It aslo has a sequel but this one is a pleasant read despite the seperation at the end. [2]
Despite the writer referring to my home province as 'the armpit of the north', I enjoyed it muchly. [3]
