Sibyl's Stories was a personal fanfiction site. It was hosted on GeoCities and part of Artists in Residence.

Jaguarundi's Lairs linked to it in 2001.[1]

Highlander

"Philosophy Lesson" Not completely plot driven, "Philosophy Lesson" is Sibyl’s experiment at writing HL slash fanfiction. Includes an elusive immortal, Richie and Joe and a cup of ice, some philosophical discussions about karma and reincarnation, and an immortal even older than Methos who has had an impact on both Richie and Methos’s lives. Some plot, mostly PWP, a bit of h/c, implied & described sexual abuse of minors, and rough sex between consenting and non-consenting immortals. WARNING: this story contains strong sexual situations between consenting and non-consenting male characters. If you think that reading this type of material might upset you, please do not read this story. In that way, we'll both be happy.

RAIN by Sibyl: This is my attempt to answer the question of how each of the main Highlander characters (Duncan, Methos, Joe and Richie) survive the day after ‘Archangel’. This is a non-series story; a one-off in which we learn that Methos has been lusting after Duncan but with the death of Richie, any hopes are dashed for the near future; and also that Joe and Richie were a couple. I think it would be the worst of all for Joe: Duncan has to leave, Methos has to leave and Richie is dead. Where does that leave Joe?

The 'Jes' Stories (appearing in time-line order)

"The Conversations Series": these started out as being Sibyl’s attempt at getting into the heads of the various HL characters, one on one, using Jes McClellan as her Mary Sue character. "The Conversations Series" stories later grew a will of their own and turned into a very cleansing catharsis.

  1. 1- "Seacouver Vacation": Jes goes to Seacouver for vacation and meets a cool group of people at Joe’s Bar.
  1. 2- "Joe": Jes and Joe, sure they know each other from another lifetime, explore their burgeoning friendship.
  1. 3- "Richie": while exploring their friendship and the mountains surrounding Seacouver, the immortality of her new-found friends is revealed.

What You See Is What You Get is a 'Behind the Scenes Conversations' Story for the Conversations #3-Richie. In this story you get an insight into what all the characters were thinking at the time of the occurrences that happened in Conversations #3- Richie. Sibyl would like to do 'Behind the Scenes Conversations' stories for the entire Conversation series, but this one insisted on being written out of sequence.

  1. 4- "Reprise": while Jes is thinking of moving to Seacouver, “Reprise” is a further exploration of the tie between the two mortals (Jes and Joe) as Jes works through things in her life that have brought her grief.
  1. 5- "Duncan": Duncan and Jes got off on the wrong foot from the very start......
  1. 6- "Methos": Methos, at Joe’s advice, goes back to New York with Jes as support. Other things develop as her grief is laid to rest.
  1. 7- "Family": Jes and Methos return to Seacouver.
  1. 8- "Resolution": Jes is determined to repair the damaged “friendship” between Methos and Duncan.

"Millennium Champion" co-author notes -Mona Ramsey -Sibyl

"Millennium Champion" by Sibyl and Mona Ramsey Part One: Prophesy Part Two: The Stand Part Three: Aftermath the retelling in three parts, as outlined above, written by both Sibyl and Mona Ramsey, of “Archangel”, “Avatar” and “Armageddon” in which Richie does *not* die; there are no throw-away characters; the story takes place in the year 2000; and Duncan’s five friends (Xandra, Richie and Joe, Methos and Jes) stand steadfastly together to help Duncan defeat Ahriman.

"Millennium Champion" after stories: "Beginning" by Mona Ramsey: Xandra and Duncan. "Sometime In The Morning" by Sibyl: Jes and Methos. "Necking" by Sibyl: Richie and Joe.

"Sleeping With Demons" by Sibyl and Mona Ramsey: previously called the "Amanda" story, Sleeping with Demons takes place immediately after Millennium Champion. This is a story about the females in Sibyl and Mona's Highlander Universe. Xandra has been with Duncan since the end of Millennium Champion, but Amanda drops in and causes all kinds of repercussions. In addition, Sleeping With Demons explores, deepens, and further develops the friendship between Jes and Xandra.

No Souvenirs by Mona Ramsey: Xandra's running away, but no matter how hard she runs, trouble still seems to find her. Unfortunately, trouble may be exactly what she's looking for.

Never Be: After Xandra leaves Paris, all those left behind are despondent. When an old friend of Duncan's shows up, he (the old friend) suggests they take a visit to a country Inn located in Brittany for a change of pace and scenery. This 'old friend' is Connor MacLeod. No one in the world knows Duncan better than Connor does, and during his visit he helps to stir things up while putting things back into perspective for Duncan.

Manipulation: This takes place about a month after Methos, Jes, and Duncan return to Seacouver from Paris. Connor stays in Paris to finish up some business. But someone powerful comes to Seacouver ... headhunting Methos. Methos leaves Seacouver to try and lead the other immortal away from his loved ones, but things don't always work the way we've planned.

Manipulation Afterstory #1- Yes: Methos' quickening has left him extremely weak. Jes takes her love for him one step further.

The Duncan MacLeod Odyssey Series #1 Darn Cats by Sibyl: This story takes place directly after Manipulation. Duncan and Connor drop Jes and Methos off at the Seacouver Mountain House and then drive back to the dojo. Darn Cats begins The Duncan MacLeod Odyssey Series and it also features Duncan’s thoughts about those people in his life that mean something to him, as well as some comic relief: the antics of Jes’ cats in Duncan’s apartment.

The Duncan MacLeod Odyssey Series #2 Dark by Sibyl: Duncan is haunted by dreams of Connor. He takes Jes’ cats home to the Seacouver Mountain House and we further the ‘new’ friendship between Jes and Duncan while examining a recent relationship that may no longer be healthy for Duncan.

The Duncan MacLeod Odyssey Series #3 Morning by Sibyl: Duncan comes to a decision and must follow through.

The Duncan MacLeod Odyssey Series #4 BROODING by Sibyl: BROODING furthers the events in Duncan’s life during his 'Odyssey'.

BLOOD AND FIRE: A Poker Story by Sibyl and Mona Ramsey Part One: Before: *Everybody* (Xandra, Connor, Joe, Richie, Duncan, Jes, Methos) is in town for a poker party to celebrate Jes’ engagement. BLOOD AND FIRE is the story of the various friends and lovers who have been playing a form of poker with each other, other friendships that are formed during that time period, and appearing later on: dark secrets from the past.

BLOOD AND FIRE: A Poker Story by Sibyl and Mona Ramsey Part Two: "After": In the midst of being written; but basically, during the actual Poker Party which moves from Joe’s to the Loft for a more intimate atmosphere in order to play Strip Poker. The antics further disinterate as the group decides to play Truth or Dare. But the immortals have many secrets that maybe it's not wise to share. Everybody learns things about everyone else that they didn't know and it comes down to this: now that they know, can they forgive?

to come: Untitled Wedding Story by Sibyl: Not written except for a fragment, but will basically tell the story of events during and just after Jes' wedding.

The Duncan MacLeod Odessey Series #5- THE RETURN TO INNOCENCE by Sibyl: Duncan regains himself and his power. And Jes gets to experience it first hand. Contains faint foreshadowing (if you know what to look for:) to "PRECIOUS" which will come next.

to come: PRECIOUS by Sibyl and Mona Ramsey: This is currently being written and is a very exciting experience! Well-beloved immortals who were thought to be dead are alive! How this could be as well as some very metaphysical and semi-religious overtones meet in this exciting new story (and if I have one more 'shower ephiphany' I may have to start taking baths.....).

"Tears In Heaven": 30 years after the millennium, Jes is 70 years old. Joe is gone and her time is fast approaching as well.

"Reincarnation (January 18th, 2098)": it’s 100 years, to the date, after the end of “Philosophy Lesson” and Methos and Richie meet to keep a date they made on January 18th, 1998. But fate and karma, of which Joe had spoken about a lot during his lifetime, is now afoot..... Reincarnation - Part One Reincarnation - Part Two

"Pilgrim": mix Richie and Ned, a quiet late afternoon and an old CD of *moving* music, to create a stirring PWP.

"Ethereal" and "Anchor": it didn’t work out for Methos and Richie in January 2098, so they’re meeting again on the same date in 2198. "Ethereal" is Methos’s side of the story, and "Anchor" is Richie’s side of the story.

"Secure Yourself (February 2198), Part One", by Sibyl and Mona Ramsey: After Methos and Richie meet again in "Ethereal" and "Anchor", Methos stays with Richie in Paris and retreats further into himself, as Richie tries to figure out how to help him. Meanwhile, on a small and remote Greek isle, Xandra finds pre-immortal Gwen. It becomes necessary to bring "the family" together to educate her, who is even more than she seems......

"Secure Yourself (February 2198), Part Two", by Sibyl and Mona Ramsey: Gwen is beginning to figure out that the new family she has found is very different from any other family but she can't quite put her finger on just how that could be. With Richie and Methos comes the truth and near disaster is averted. And Methos finds his way back to the present world with the help of the young psychic pre-immortal who is also the reincarnation of someone he used to know very well.

"Secure Yourself (February 2198), Part Three", by Sibyl and Mona Ramsey: With Methos getting better daily, Richie has a guilty flashback. Old friends visit to right wrongs. Duncan finally accepts a difficult-to-face gift from an old friend. And festivities are in the wind.....

Guardian Watcher: short but sweet: Gwen gets to meet Joe, both through her friends and in person.

Sibyl's Stray Stories

These "Stray Stories" are part of Sibyl's existing timeline. However, although events that take place in these stories are referred to throughout the various 'series' stories, these "Stray" stories occur randomly throughout the timeline and therefore need their own heading.

"Best Friends": Comfort comes in many ways ... and in Best Friends Jes gets what she needs after a near-death experience from a deadly motorcycle accident.

"Fever": It’s winter, Richie is traveling, and Joe is visiting with Methos and Jes in New York for the very first time ever. When he gets sick and responds badly to traditional medicine, Jes has Duncan search for the best medicine ever. A secret from Joe’s past comes out in conversation between Jes and Methos. A secret that could make for a whole new batch of stories *before* Jes and Richie and Duncan.

"Sparring": Jes and Duncan *finally* get through to each other, and make their friendship more than just a word.

Bojangles: A very short piece in which Jes and Methos are spending the winter in Paris. News from home brings some past heartaches back to haunt Jes. Bojangles is set about 2 years after Millennium Champion.

Other Stories

Joe's Visit: Joe visits Mona to discuss Xandra in "Secure Yourself, Part III". Contains story spoilers.

Sibyl's Sub-Conscious: Joe visits Sibyl the night after he visited Mona. They discuss life in general and possible future stories.

A Christmas Story: Sibyl visits her characters, courtesy of the magic of Christmas. . .

Talking To Myself: Joe visits Sibyl, but this time he chooses to appear in a public place (fortunately no one is around except Sibyl's horse who is used to Sibyl talking to herself).

The Sentinel Stories

...On A Rainy Sundae by Sibyl is just that: ice cream sundae makings, an early rainy Sunday, a creative Jim Ellison and a sleeping Blair Sandburg add up to the right ingredients for this mild PWP.

Crossover Stories

GAME OF LIFE by Sibyl: a Highlander/The Sentinel Crossover that stars Sibyl's usual Highlander characters in addition to the two main The Sentinel characters. GAME OF LIFE is to the first of several more HL/TS crossovers. Sibyl 'borrowed' (with Mona Ramsey's permission) the relationship between Joe Dawson and Blair Sandburg's mother to write this story.

Original Stories

MATCHMAKER: Volume One by Sibyl: a talent agent and her actor husband host secret weekend matchmaking sessions in their secluded country home to interesting consequences and relationships. The couplings herein are even more intense than in my 'Highlander' universe, perhaps because it is original (mostly slash) and the characters belong to no one except myself. Each character *is* based on either people I know or other TV or movie characters and personalities; but these form only the basics of each character. Each of them has since grown and sprung a life of their own. I am having some good fun writing this, and can promise that there is more to come, as Volume Two is very much a part of the reason that I am now posting Volume One.

MATCHMAKER: Volume Two by Sibyl: an old friend comes to visit bringing with him a new challenge for Lysandra, Bobbye, Geoff and Lawrence as well as for himself.....
